Musings

1. Saw this on a t-shirt: 'Train.ing is the op.posite of hoping'

--good one ni.ke

2. I wish you didn't twe.et....
-While I love twit.ter (thanks Ana) I don't love everyone in the twit.ter world.

3. Is it wrong to want to work out for the sole purpose of looking great on the off chance that you'll run into someone from your past and they can spread the word that you are even more amazing than last remembered?

4. I like to watch TV on mute and at times I ride in the car with no music playing.

5. In a completely contradictory note....I cannot function when my ipod FM transmitter stops working in my car..also....I hate when speakers/sounds/notes aren't balanced.

6. A friend texted me to say she was in my city on the 3rd day of her 4 day trip. That lets me know she didn't really want to meet up. Is it wrong that I texted her back to say 'sorry I missed you' 2 days later when I knew she was back home?
(She fb-ed that she was excited to be visiting my city before she got here..so I knew she was coming---FB will get you caught up)

7. I'm so excited about my b/f's bday trip....I need a vacation. Selfish I know.

8. I love a good office supply shopping spree as much as I love a good target run.
-Along those lines...when my boss asked me for a staple remover and my usually stocked desk didn't have one...I peeped that he had swiped it previously and it was on his desk....hmm time to
find my night goggles and grappling hook...I need to get back my post-it notes too!

9. Spring Bli.ng is back in town this weekend...so excited about leaving!

10. My boss and I have the same computer... he left his charger at home and is using mine...I'm watching my battery die...minute by minute.

Spring Break

It's funny to me now, how 'tired' I was in undergrad. Spring Break was 'so necessary.' I'd come back to school feeling refreshed and ready to knock out the rest of the year.

What I wouldn't give right now for Spring Break. I am tired of being tired and while I could take a few days off, I know that work will be right here waiting for me. Hell, work might just interject itself on my mini-vacay.

I miss the simpler days, when broke was just broke. It didn't mean that you'd never be able to buy a house or that your credit score went from numbers to letters. It meant that you might actually have to use dining dollars, instead of ordering in. Broke meant that you were intimately familiar with the dollar menu(which is still the case), but your waistline wouldn't reflect your menu choices because you walked everywhere anyway.

School provided insulation from the pressures of the 'real world' and you were cocooned from real-world expectations, prices (student discount anyone?), and in some cases consequences.

Fail a test? You had a good shot of being able to talk yourself into a better grade during office hours.

Fail a work project? Please clear out your desk by the close of business.

I know, you can't go back. I don't think I could deal with even attempting to 'go back.' I am, however, wistful of how good that time was in my life. I feel like I'll be saying the same thing about my haphazard 20s ten yrs from now.

Yes!!!!

Good Morning, Happy Monday, Shalom, Peace & Blessings, etc.

My weekend was busy, tiring, and too short, but I made it, so I won't complain. I did by chance stumble on this video that absolutely combines several things I care about dearly. All things M.ac (computer not makeup), the Transformers movie, and a suspenseful score.

I wish that I could have created something this entertaining as a student. Enjoy!

Wedding Bells

So...Sweets and I have discussed marriage and a family. Ever so often we talk about the actual wedding. We usually stop whenever the stress part comes into play for me. There are a few givens/constant ideas.

1. Sweets will wear grey.(Looks great on him)
2. Plum will be one of the colors.(Looks great on/around the both of us)
3. Sweets will not be singing.(He has a lovely voice, but who wants to work at their own wedding?)
4. We will not write our own vows--but obey won't be anywhere in the ones we say.(Again--didn't come to work--and I don't do well with instructions--lol)
5. There may or may not be a bridal party (more on this later)
6. Water/fountains/hell, dasani bottles have to be present. (Sweets loves all things water-related).
7. Oh...it can't be hot...(I don't have a relaxer, he gets hot & bothered easily).
8. We have to eat before, during, and after...(we love food #1 and are collectively mean as hell when we are hungry).
9. No smashing cake in anyone's face....(Armageddon will ensue).
10. We will prob blog/twit.ter/text through whatever type of reception we have....

Hmmm...

Ok so ...All of my 'walk down the aisle'/'first dance' songs have been vetoed....So I thought I'd get some other opinions.

Here's what I came up with....

1. Every Little Step/Bobby Brown
2. Hello/Beyonce
3. We gon' fight/Jennifer Hudson
4. Waiting in Vain/Bob Marley(although my sister has claimed this one as well)
5. How Many Ways/Toni Braxton
6. Swagga like us/Ti, Jay z
7. Listen to your heart/Roxette
8. Together Forever/Rick Astley
9. I will Die for you/Prince (don't take that literally---homicide before suicide...always)
10. Love is a battlefield/Pat Benatar
11. If it isn't love/New Edition
12. He's Mine/Mokenstef
13. Get Down On it/kool and the gang(special arrangement by Ana)
14. love ya like I love ya/Justin Timberlake and/or Sexyback/Justin Timberlake
15. I Like/Guy

Any other suggestions???
Lol---have a great Friday :)

Lazy Is....

Lazy Is....

1. Wearing last night's makeup to work today.
2. Rotating your hat collection all week and just brushing the edge of your hairline that is visible to the world.
3. Driving past a Dun.kin Donuts & Star.bucks to get to the ones that have a drive-thru.
4. Going to Dun.kin Donuts to get a large bagel because you don't feel like going through the effort to toast two of the mini bagels you have in your fridge.
5. Not calling friends back because you can't find your earpiece.
6. Going to your b/f's house to watch t.v. when your universal remote stops working(instead of reprogramming it).
7. Realizing that you have the wrong color bra on with your current shirt and grabbing a scarf to drape over your shirt instead of changing.
8.Setting up i.chat to read all of your a.im & jabb.er messages to you.
9. Washing your face with handsoap...because its already on your hands.
10. Using an extra wide purse to detract from your sidemeat because lets face it...you're already using the purse anyway...and spa.nx, a tight tank, any additional slimming undergarment apparatus requires a whole other step.
11. Only getting your mail when you pull your car out of the driveway and pull right up on the mail box.
12. Repainting the chipped tips of your toenail instead of taking the nail polish off completely.
13. Signing online to work from my phone and going back to sleep for a hour/basing whether or not I sit up for the first hour of work on my twit.ter news update.
14. Taking a picture of your signature and emailing to yourself for future use instead of messing with the scanner.
15. Not being able to finish this post because the list of 'lazy items' that I wrote yesterday is in the other room.....

5:30 am

It's 5:30 in the morning. I'm watching Making the band, listening to the world sleep, and waiting for the networks to begin their news coverages. I've got 30 minutes before the world starts to wake up and I just want to go back to sleep.

Things that this making the band episode makes me think about......

1. Is Que PMSing?
2. I really need to order a blackberry
3. Why can't Diddy arrange a Proactiv ad for the entire group?
4. What are the remaining Danity Kane members doing all day?
5. Why is everyone wearing so many layers in the studio, but they stay sweating....I don't get it...take off a layer!

Ok...that is all for my random questions...back to work I go.

Pull Back

[Disclaimer: Explicit content to follow]

I don't often get angry. I'm blessed (or cursed) with the ability to talk myself down from rage. The resulting feeling is smoldering angst that attacks the pit of my stomach and the bottom of my throat. It's like heartburn, but without the antacid quick fix.

I have heartburn this morning. Well lets not talk in circles. I'm agitated. It's totally illogical, but a 100% genuine feeling.

What happened?

Ugh...my mother was right. Today she wanted clarity on 'twitter' vs. 'blogging' vs. 'face.book.' Once we went back and forth about the three things, she declared, "The scary thing about being that connected is that nothing is ever personal. Your entire life and your emotions play out over the internet for all to interpret."

My response: "Your life is up for interpretation anyway, so you might as well influence/control what is being posted about you."

So as I'm making my rounds on Sweets' blog this morning I realize that a post he'd worked on last night was no longer up. Now...the post plainly praised all that was well with the intimacy in our relationship. He'd worked really hard on it and it made me smile.

Yes there were bits in there about...hold on let me quote it directly....

"Time to go to work! I am experiencing the most dreamy, joyful, indulgent, euphoric, passionate, beautiful, gratifying, enchanting, heavenly, sensual, expressive, toe-curling, thumb-sucking, fulfilling, erotic sex EVER! She takes me to ecstasy and back EVERY time and I love it!

I don't want you all to be "jelly", but basically I just felt compelled to announce and quote the beautiful Sanaa Lathan in Brown Sugar...

She gives it to me on a regular basis... And the Shit is THE BOMB!

Don't hate."

Unfortunately, at times I can be too prude to be that plain (thanks mom), but I can appreciate his forthrightness. I assume that everyone here (in my blogosphere) is an adult. Content that is too...hmm...forthright can catch you off guard, but its not like saying 'Santa's dead' to a 6-year-old. You in the blogosphere can handle it.

So as I sent a twitter message out before I went to sleep that said that I was pleased with the post but had reservations.

By morning the post was gone. In its place was a post about hating to have to 'hold back.'

Courtesy of the internet we had an entire disagreement...while I was asleep. Had I not careful checked my goo.gle rea.der this morning, I would have totally missed the entire thing.

My reservations were more gender specific. You see...I hate that, prudishness aside, that my post about 'toe-curling, thumb-sucking intimacy' would/could be interpreted as 'ho-ish' or 'fast'(thanks mom for that one as well).

You're right mom, everything playing out via the internet I guess can't be a good thing. Maybe that's what actually is making me angry...the fact that she's 'right' about something....Hmm..no I refuse to let that happen. My issue is that Sweets felt that he had to limit the way he expressed himself because of me. He doesn't...and now that I've cleared that up in my own mind. I'm off to make it plain to him.

Random

I'm so confused.

Boss: "Be in the office in the morning."
Dani: (balancing 2 smoothies, a baby coke, a fruit platter, and a kids chicken tender meal in one hand and my phone on my ear says): "Ok"
Boss: "We need to discuss some employee files."
Dani: "OK"

This morning(8:45am)....

IM Msg from the Boss: "Where are you"
Dani: "Home"
Boss: "You were supposed to be in the office this morning"
Dani: "Yes, I know...you didn't specify a time"
Boss: "We had a 8:30am call with the DA's office"
Dani: "Huh? Ok, I'm sorry I would have been in the office had you specified a time."
Boss: "Let me conference you in, be next to your phone."
Dani: "ok"

(phone rings)

Dani speaks to DA......5 min later call ends.

(phone rings)

Boss: "Did the call go ok?"
Dani: "um...yea I think , I just gave the info that was asked of me."
Boss: "Ok....great anything else going on this morning?"
Dani: "Not that I know of"
Boss: "Ok, talk you later."
Dani: "ok"

Dani sits back down.....

1. I'm fully dressed....and apparently have no where to go.
2. If the call could be done virtually why did he require me to drive the 14 miles to get to the office this morning anyway?
3. Why is he confused about my need for clarification about 'in the morning?' I start my shift at 5am. He logs on anywhere between 3am-6am and is on until about 10pm. 'Morning' is a relative term.
4. Did I mention that I'm dressed? I woke up at 4:45am to go back home to get dressed only the monsoon didn't allow me to get on the road for the 5 min journey home until 6:30 am. Then I worked while showering, digging through the piles of clothes on my bed, getting dressed and making coffee. I'm about to walk out of the door into the rain and all for a phone call that could have happened while I was in my jammies.

Connected

When I was younger I wrote my feelings in a diary and would talk to my stuffed animals. When I got older I would pass notes in class telling my friends all of my deepest thoughts and feelings. They would be delivered in intricate origami-folded notes and passed beneath the desk during boring lectures. When I got slightly older my feelings were relegated to my nearest and dearest via A.OL, during lunch, and on the bus. Then I got a cell phone and my world was 'verbalized' via text. I could type my thoughts, musings, 'hell naw' moments all while washing my face, driving, showering, drifting to sleep, having a verbal convo etc. Today my feelings are still shared via text, but I also twitter and blog from the phone, email things when the text, tweets, blogs get too lengthy. Take a picture when words just won't do and sometimes even a video.

Before life even fully happens i've documented it 2-3 times over. It is not absurd for my computer to magically appear from any bag that I have slung on my shoulder. Church choir member forgets that they are a tenor and tries to sing soprano...instantly everyone that I know also knows.

So with all of this sharing, what exactly am I keeping for myself? Just wondering. More importantly, what is not being said across the blogosphere, in texts, and emails and where do those comments end up?

You Better Sing!

Friday Night.....

Happy Hour
Shopping
Ice Cream
Karaoke

Here are some pics of Ana (aka Ike Turner) belting out the tunes with her back-up squadron of me, Brew, & Patti.

If you twitter, then you got tweets about the audaciousness of the Karaoke man who not only wore tie-dye but also had a firm one time performance rule. ugh!

I'm more upset abt the tie-dye in hindsight.

So the night wouldn't be complete without shots...and the cha cha slide??? Sigh...I couldn't explain the night properly if I tried. It was a blissful, clusterf*ck of run ins with the exes, great food, momentary boredom, a shopping trip at the grocery store(huh?), ice cream, great convo, karaoke, dancing etc.

Random night....great people.....great time.

P.S. If you've never been to South Florida you might be confused by the wardrobe in the pics. Hmmm 80,000 degree days and at night depending on your proximity to the water it can get a bit breezy. Don't judge!

HBCU vs. 'Regular School'

I've got to do it. I have to. I sat up in bed last night and yelled at the t.v. Sweets just backed up and let me rant (he's great like that).

You see this face....

This is the face of a man that is about to blow. This is the face of a man that attended Morehouse College. This is the face of a man that just got asked, "Why did you choose Morehouse instead of a regular school."

Ok....let me give you a point of reference before I get too loud.

SMH on the Crown Royyal reference(I'm hoping that's a separate company). Anyway. I'm a Howard girl. Tried and true. If you want to know how to aggravate the hell out of me, please imply that my alma mater is in some way inferior to any other school. No ma'am, No sir...you will absolutely get shut down.

If someone wants to know why you'd pick a HBCU, I think that is a fair question. To ask why you wouldn't attend a regular or real college, is rude and disrespectful. It implies that my school is in some way inferior. I'm not having it.

Third Tier of Hell

[Disclaimer: I'm laughing while typing this, so laugh when you read it and don't think that I've completely lost my mind. I'm fine.]

There are posts that I think about, but don't type because I don't really need an express pass to hell. There are posts that I type, that ensure that there will be some delay/review time outside the gates of heaven. Then there is this post.....(sigh).

Its a rant...and its wrong...and I can't help it. Here we go....

I don't want to share my Jesus. Point blank. What???? you ask. Huh??? Let me explain. In actuality...I don't want to share my church.

Forever ago, I pushed/prodded/encouraged my ex and his family to join my church. They didn't have one and I was literally born into mine. Its a strong Caribbean foundation etc. I thought it would be a perfect fit. Well the ex didn't really bite, but his mom and sister seemed to enjoy it.

To clarify: For me, its less important that you are a part of MY church, but its incredibly important that you have some sort of spiritual foundation of your own. If you find it at Temple, the Mosque, Christian Reading Center, Church wherever just have a base in something deeper than yourself.

Ok...sooo as you all know, the relationship dissolved. Hmm.....that's the wrong choice of words because that implies a process. Let me restate: the relationship ceased. Now....here comes the tricky part. Because the ex's family took to the church and began to work closely with several ministries we have a 'church relationship' and tackle several projects together.

Fast forward to present day.

So in their mind I am the heartless heifer that broke their son's/brother's heart. Ok...I'll own that. On top of that, I'm an unapologetically happy, heartless heifer (with a sexycus of a Sweets to boot).

This is where things get tricky. You see, the church has gotten used to pairing me up with the ex's family members on various committees. So our work together has become a balancing act of sorts. Now they've put together that I'm dating someone new...but because our(the ex's family & me) surface act is so lovely, they (church folk)are of the impression that things are'right as rain.'

Hmmm...not so much. Are you familiar with leprosy? Yes....biblical. Locusts? Hmmm...

Let me give you examples. The ex's sister was confirmed earlier in the yr. Her whole family came. Now she usually sits in the pew directly in front of my family(every Sunday). Any time her family had ever come to church(pre-breakup), that is where they sat. However, for this venture they sat on the opposite end of the church--think Atlantic and Pacific Ocean--and did not come anywhere near my family.

Christmas Eve service--Ex's mom came to get her midnight Mass on and so during the peace when you normally greet everyone it was the iciest faux greeting ever known to man---think I'm exaggerating? I used to call her out on it when I saw her doing it to her colleagues and we'd laugh about how I'd caught her in the act....now I'm on the receiving end of the act. Oh and before the last note of the last song had played she was out....not like I'm walking out quickly...but more so a elfin sprinkle of magic and poof she disappeared. I've never in all of my days seen anyone move so quickly.

Sushi night--My ex's sister and my ex's cousin/best friend walked into a restaurant for happy hour last Friday and spotted me at a table with Brew, Ana, and Sweets. The best friend came over for an awkward 'hi' then vanished. While the sister did an about face and scurried outside....I'm assuming to head off my ex.

Adult Bible Study Meeting--Ex's sister and her best friend (also a new member of the church) and I (Ana was out of town) met about the direction we wanted to take the ministry. Then the two of them broke into a side convo about where they wanted to go to dinner(previously something I would have been a part of). Pointedly talking around/over me....Ummmm.....Hello...I'm still sitting here!

Ugh......its been 9 months....can this process pls come to an end....Anywho, let me focus. The matter at hand is.....HE'S MY JESUS. I shared my church because I thought we had something forever-esque. We didn't. So leave. I don't like that my Sweets feels like he's playing Russian Roulette every Sunday (will they be there, won't they be there, will they speak, won't they speak). Stop volunteering for committees and forcing me to review your qualifications for various tasks. Stop putting me in positions where I have to speak to whether or not you'd be a good fit for certain tasks....we don't talk anymore, but I can't tell people that....ugh!!!!!! OK yes...I know what you're thinking. My heart is in the wrong place, I'm focusing on the wrong things. I agree. But HE'S MY JESUS and I don't want to share. You don't get to get my church in the 'divorce settlement.'

That is all.

[Further Disclaimer: They are really quite nice people and I don't actually want them to leave the church...this is just my tantrum of sorts that stems from the messiness of this break up. Besides, the post made me smile.]

Who Are You?

I'm changing. Not losing myself per se, but becoming less rigid in some ways. Most recently, this 'who are you' question came up when I finished job 1 and hit the pool before job 2.

It's a small thing, but not a 'usual Dani' thing. Idk...I guess its.....'Back to Basics'.....back to having a good time....with the little things. (btw...I love this ad)

Game Night

Sweets: Baby, it's time to break out the gi(look it up)
Dani: (sigh)
Sweets: (pop-locking) "I'ma take my karate belt off on these fools"
Dani: let the games begin...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last Night we had game night. Ana (& Drew) graciously hosted a night of foolishness and good times. Now everyone in the room has had a modicum of college education. There was an array of degrees and levels of distinction throughout. So you would think that the brilliance would spill forth when playing scatter.gories and last word.

(sigh)

Here are some of the night's gems...

Bridal Show

Ok so I love all things wedding-esque. From a distance. I love the shows, magazines, faux planning, etc. When I start to think about my own wedding I make myself sick to my stomach. The magnitude of planning that goes into one day....a few hours...is nerve wracking. Who to invite, how to afford it, where, when, details, etc. Its all way too much. Thankfully sweets has already promised to keep me together when we kick start the planning process.

Now the marriage part is what I'm really excited about...but that's for another post.

Anywho...so this year I have the honor of being my podmate's maid of honor. Ok...so to her credit, she has overlooked my lack of maid of honor qualifications(I originally volunteered to valet cars). She's good to me that way. I'm not terribly artsy, don't really plan parties and gatherings well etc. etc. BUT I'm incredibly supportive and focused on making sure that podmate maintains her sanity.

Podmate suggested that we attend a bridal expo...I thought it would be fun, so we traipsed south and took in the sights.

Here's what I learned....if you have no idea what you want for your own wedding...don't go to a bridal expo. It sounds backwards, but you should have a clear idea of what you want before you attend a show because they are absolutely overwhelming.

We gorged ourselves on sweets while we went from vendor to vendor. I had such a good time! I toted around Podmate and Mom's stuff (aha! another task I'm uber good at) while taking mental notes to relay back to sweets and snapping photos.

Here are some of things that we saw.....

And let us not forget to highlight the woman of the hour.....

Here's a shot of the Podmates & Mama P post sugar-high !

In Front Of My Face....

It feels like nothing changes. Very little progress. Mundane existence. Ya-da-Ya-da-Ya-da. Blessings can so often be overlooked and thusly taken for granted.

Just wanted to pause for a second on this one....

You...you...stop looking around...you..

Yes...you
A year ago I didn't know you.

Now, I can't imagine what life would be like without you.

Message...even though it seems like nothing is happening and changes aren't coming fast enough there are clearly signs of progress every day. The little things add up and things will happen as they are supposed to. I just need to stay focused and be patient.....and Thankful.

Benefits

The computer guys gifted me with the latest M.ac software when I had my computer repaired. I know its standard practice, but I like to think it was just for me. So while I was playing with the upgraded photo.booth I stumbled on this fabulous 'quick pic' option.....Say Cheese!

Supastar!

Pray for me :)

Addendum

I do a lot of posts about having a certain amount of occupational angst. Economy aside, there is a legal reason why I can't just leave my current position. I can't expand on it like I want to, but we are actively involved in a lawsuit that I'm personally a part of and so I'm bound to the company for the time being.

This is a disclaimer of sorts, for those of you who read my posts and don't understand why I don't just leave.

To clarify: I really enjoy my job and I wish that I had found it a bit later in life when I was settled with a family. Right now, I want a bit more excitement (in terms of my location). The tedium of paperwork is tied to the legal items and not my core job function. I hope this clears things up a bit.

Cabin Fever

F.acebook is just evil. Under the pretense of the being a networking site, it is in truth the anti-christ. You get sucked into a vortex of checking out the pics of your friends, their friends, their exes, etc. Now logically, you know that everyone tries to put their best pics on the book, so its a virtual album of splendor. Rarely do you see the pics of late study sessions, empty refrigerators, unwanted weight gain, economic hardship, mental unrest, and suburban mediocrity. Instead you are attacked by pics of metropolitan finery, limitless wardrobe options, fresh hair dos, nice angles, tons of smiles, and seemingly limitless possibilities. Everyone looks like they are living the life and if there is even an ounce of angst in your own world, you will inevitably begin a downward spiral of introspection and re-evaluation.

Brew's response to today's rant: 'Stop Looking.'

But I can't. As masochistic as it is, I'm drawn to checking out the pages of my friends. I've cut down tremendously, by deactivating my own page, but I still check it a few times a week. I need a bit of angst. There is so much that I want for myself and it almost seems that the smidgen of masochism reminds me of what I could/should be doing. The book has become a virtual yardstick....although I seem to be beating myself with it at the moment.

Somethings gotta give soon...I'm bored and driving myself crazy...hmmm.

Slow As.....

Remember when you used to defrag a computer and it took so long that you'd set it up to work all through the night, while you slept?

Remember when A.OL issued an upgrade and because you had dial-up , if you were smart, you'd set it up to download overnight while you slept?

Remember your frustration if someone called when you hit the 85% downloaded mark?

Remember the time and finesse it took to coax the magnetic tape back into an audio cassette if/when it got caught on your player? Remember your tool? Yep...a pen.

Remember how good and patient you were getting your mix tape just right recording songs from the radio? No commercials because you were a pro....just kept a tape in the player with which buttons pushed down? Yep....play,record, and pause.

Those were good times....but I'm not trying to relive those times right now. I would just like to complete this one task that has been going on non-stop since Friday night.

My computer drive went bad on me randomly. While I consistently keep a back up of my music somewhere....I hadn't done one in awhile. So I decided to just use one of the rip softwares and take my music back off my i.po.d and put it on my computer.

That way all of my playlists would be together and pretty etc.

Ok so I have a fair size collection....8000 songs, abt 30 shows, a few movies...nothing major, so I thought.

Started 9pm on Friday.....its 7:18 Sunday morning....I have 800 tracks left to import.

Damn

Reason # 28,213 why I miss my relaxer

I've been relaxer free since 2003. I'd venture to say 'natural' but since I can't remember the last time I had a head full of my natural haircolor, I'll use 'relaxer-free.'

Well recently I've gotten antsy abt my relaxer-free look. Reason being? I like wearing my hair straight. I get a press once every 2 months, but I yearn for more. I want an official hair style/cut something that isn't weather dependant....I want a big girl hairstyle.

This is what got me.....so today is Day 8 of my press. I have a hard time wrapping my unrelaxed, pressed hair so mornings are interesting. Well last night I ended up sweating a bit and when I woke up the back part of my hair was curly. Sweets inquired if I was going to wash it or flat iron it....I told him I'd go with the latter.

He went to work and I went to work on my hair. About 45 min ,of iron work, & 15 min of styling took place then I was back in business. So I run some errands, and then go over to Sweet's job to keep him company.

His statement: "Aww Baby I'm sorry you didnt have time to get to your hair today."

Damn!

Seriously?

It's cold in March...Hell snowing in some places. I'm in South Florida and have worn a jacket all this week. Last year this time, I had my summer 'glow' perfected by now.

Seriously?

The time changes this Sunday.

Seriously?

Michael Jackson is announcing a new tour today.

Seriously?

Gas prices are back up.

Seriously?

Angel Food Ministries continues to provide food for a family of 4 for $30. Our local site here in south florida is at the church that requires your tax info to ensure that you're tithing correctly.

Seriously?

I was asleep before 8pm and woke up at 1am.

Seriously?

T.O. has been cut from the Cowboys....But got a bonus last season.

Seriously?

Conversation with my brother:

Dani: "What happened to the rest of the biscuits that I left in the freezer?"
Brother: "I figured since there were only two left, I'd eat them since you can't really do anything with two of them."

Seriously?

Justin spoofs John Mayer....and I love John Mayer...but its so accurate!

This Can't Be Life....

The last few days have been monotonous and I wonder what is really going on.

I wake up tired.
Sift through paperwork at the office for hours on end.
Rush across town to get to the second job.
I'm pulling my weight just enough to not get fired and keep management happy.
I then get to the gym(maybe), eat dinner(definitely), make it through one tv show(or half a show & 1/2 a chapter of reading) and then pass out.
Not fall asleep. Pass out. I haven't seen 11pm in ages. I'm up at 4:45am to do it all over again.

The thing is nothing is I'm not making any sort of difference in the course of my day. Whether or not I'm in place things will still function as they should. I need some kind of electrical shock that jump starts my days...or hell my life.
