Ok people, what are the rules when it comes to past loves and favorite songs?
Let me clarify.....My moments are recorded on sheets of music. Major and minor life occurrences are paired with songs. Play something for me and it will take me back to a specific moment, feeling, expression, and even sometimes a fragrance.
Now in every relationship that I've ever had, certain songs have become important. Things get sticky, however, when you really like the song and it carries over to a different relationship.
Ie: 'Dangerously in Love' was a song that my ex thought of when it came to me....hmm..he wasn't really happy when I told him I couldn't share a 'special moment' with him over that song...because it reminded me of someone else. Ouch! too honest? Probably.
Alright...let us fast forward to current day. In a hypothetical pow-wow with Sweets we continued our possible 'first dance' song quest. It occurred to me that there is a perfect song suggestion BUT this was a song that has reared its head in my last two relationships. The words have meant something different each time, but its still the same song.
Formula for disaster?

if it means something different every time, i don't see why it has to be a formula for disaster. if you like the song, use it. no one else has to know you can't find more than one love song to like. lol.
I think its a recipe for disaster. The minute you hear that song, emotions from the past come up! As you're dancing with the hubby, images of relationships past will be wafting thru your head! One song per person!! No sharing!!!
i changed my mind. i don't want no old losers poppin in my head on that day.
